Building of New Playground

About Us

Let me start firstly by saying the location of this school is ideal for our growing toddlers; it’s in such a serene environment. The staff/ teachers have such a welcoming presence ,very friendly and well prepared to keep the children safe, active and engaged. My almost 2 year old was barely talking when he first started , and he’s been there for no more than 3 months and he’s literally a chatter box now. He has great listening skills but now his labeling has improved a great deal. His cognitive skills are definitely improving and the orange feather staff have a lot to do with it . So happy that I have found them !

The school environment is awesome. Oh and the learning aids for the children are out of this world. As for activities for the children, I don't have enough time to talk about them. Just visit them and you understand what I mean. You see that their slogan *Every child by name and need* That is exactly what you get.

Teaching and learning takes place using fun activities. Learning doesn't seem like a chore for my ward. It's rather fun and he loves to repeat these fun activities at home.

The school is the best I have encountered so far.My child keeps amazing me with what she learns from school every day. I encourage everyone to take their wards to Orange Feather Community School and they will never regret it.

Facilities

#KTGlobal2024 In Accra, Ghana, Frank Twum-Barimah ’04 along with family and friends helped build a new playground at Orange Feather Community School during the month of April.

Frank said, “as part of our contribution to enriching the experience of the children at Orange Feather Community School, we volunteered to support the construction of the school playground. We worked with contractors to support the project as part of KT Global. It’s great to have the opportunity to participate even though we are far away from campus.”

OFCS was founded in 2019 by Frank and Alia Twum-Barimah with a mission to provide high-quality, affordable education to families in their community. It now enrolls more than 25 children in infant through preschool programs utilizing a Montessori curriculum.
